... to be by my side.

I recently heard this song through a link shared on my Facebook wall. Ever since that fated day, I don't really watch proposal or wedding videos of some sort. If you're my friend, you'll know why. But I got curious with this video shared by a friend on his facebook timeline.

The video is about a guy who go through different proposals for his girlfriend. And when you get to see what the guy is doing, you might want to wish that someone will do those things to you too (just like me!). What I like about the video is that the guy did those various ways to propose to his girl (just like other videos you see on YT). It was fun watching the guy doing everything that he can just to send the message across to the girl. But what I love most is that he included his and her girlfriend's family  in the proposal he made. Pure sweetness!

This is the description of the video on YouTube:
On April 13th I proposed to my girlfriend Emily at the restaurant where we had our first date. I told her I was running late, had the restaurant opened just for her, and set up hidden cameras all around her. When she sat down at the table, there was a TV in front of her set to take her on a journey that would lead to the proposal of a lifetime. This is what happened...
The video:

I had fun watching! Did you? :D

And the song (in the last part) played in the video is what I've been listening to YouTube for days now. The lyrics touch my heart. Oh, how I wish... I'm just wishful thinking here (so much for a hopeless romantic).

Here goes the song:

It is a lyric video so there is no need for me to post the lyrics. :)

What do you think of the song? Please leave a comment if you like it!

I first heard of this song when I was in my first year of college. Thanks to my brother who listens to the song every morning during that time. Whenever I listen to it (until now), somehow it gives me the feeling of having 'a brand new day'. In spite of the not-so-good things that is happening to our lives, there is still hope for another good day to come.

Halika na pumikit limutin ang problema
Hihintayin ang umaga
Magpahinga, panaginip ang ikaliligaya
Darating din ang umaga

[Chorus]
Basta't tayo'y magkasama
Laging mayroong umagang kay ganda
Pagsikat ng araw
May dalang liwanag
Sa ating pangarap, ooh
Haharapin natin

[repeat Chorus]

Haharapin natin
[repeat Chorus except last line]

And the lyric video that I have found in YouTube:

Every weekend, this reality show on Philippine TV has been trending over the country. And every time I watch the show, it dawned on me. Someone is also trending inside of my heart. This may sound OA (over acting) as someone puts it. But, who cares right?

Music. I simply love music. It ran right through my veins. So, I thought of putting another song in my blog. Well, this song reminded me much of someone from the reality television singing competition. The one that is trending in my heart (chos!). Every time it is played (replay button is overly clicked), I always see him singing this song in my mind. I just wish someday that he'll gonna sing this one.

The Question: Are you gonna give all your secrets away?

(Image from Wikipedia)
The Song:

Secrets from OneRepublic. (This video is not mine. I just got it from YouTube and chose the one with lyrics so you can sing with it while the video plays.)

This song was sang by one of those aspiring artist, John Philip Duka, who joined the Voice of the Philippines. He is a DJ (disc jockey) from a local station in Davao City. During his free time, he is doing gigs for an alternative rock band in the city.

Bamboo, please sing this song for me someday! <3

Every anime fan must have heard and go ga-ga about Rorouni Kenshin's movie showing on SM Cinema all over the Philippines. I am a bit one of those who went an hour travel on the first day of showing but didn't had a chance to lay my eyes on Himura Kenshin (Takeru Sato). But no fret, I've seen him already (in the movie) and would probably will see him again in my dreams (hehe..).

The movie is awesome from the production, soundtrack and by choosing the best Himura Kenshin portrayal from the anime series. A double thumbs up for the movie and the people behind it! (We all hope for a part 2 of it.)

This video below is one of their soundtrack. Thanks to the uploader for inserting movie clips so it is worth the watch. Have fun and enjoy Kenshin's moves! :D

Just give me a reason
To keep my heart beating
Don’t worry it’s safe right here in my arms
As the world falls apart around us
All we can do is hold on, hold on

Take my hand
And bring me back

I risk everything if it’s for you
I whisper into the night
Telling me it’s not my time and don’t give up
I’ve never stood up before this time
Demo yuzurenai mono itta kono te wo hanasanai

So stand up, stand up (Just gotta keep on running)
Wake up, wake up (Just tell me how I can)
Never give up
Kuru wa shimi hodo setsunai

Just tell me why baby
They might call me crazy
For saying I’d fight until there is no more
Fureri wo fukunda senkougankou wa kankakiteki shoudou
Blinded, I can’t see the end
So where do I begin?

Say another word, I can't hear you
The silence between us
Nanimo nai you ni utsuteru dake
I take this chance that I make you mine
Tada kakusenai mono kattate yori misekakete

So stand up, stand up (Just gotta keep on running)
Wake up, wake up (Just tell me how I can)
Never give up
Kanashimi to setsunasa

Just give me a reason
To keep my heart beating
Don’t worry it’s safe right here in my arms
Kudaketenaide saite jita kono omoi wa
So blinded I can’t see the end

Look how far we made it
The pain i can’t escape it
Kono mamajya mada owarase koto wa dekinai deshou
Nando kutabarisou demo kuchi hateyou tomo owariwanaisa
So where do I begin?

Nigirishimeta ushinawanu youni to
Te wo hirogereba koboreochisou de
Ushinau mono nado nakatta hibino dasei wo sutete kimi wo

Just tell me why baby
They might call me crazy
For saying I’d fight until there is no more
Fureri ukanda senkougankou wa kangakiteki shoudou
Blinded, I can’t see the end

Look how far we made it
The pain i can’t escape it
Kono mamajya mada owaraseru koto wa dekinai deshou
Nando kutabarisou demo kuchi hateyou tomo owariwanaisa
It finally begins..

Who loves New Wave songs?

The band was formed on the year 1980. Yes, that's right. They are now 22 years old. Two Minds Crack is a New Wave band from Wales. They are known for their singles "The Hunger and The Greed" and "Cry Cry Cry".

The song below has been one of my personal favorites ever since I have heard this on my sister's playlist. It's an 80's song (yes I know, Lol!) and I've grown up in the 90's music. But I have appreciated much their music just like Fra Lippo Lippi, Wilson Phillips and others.

And this song turns my whole world Upside Down...

One of my favorite singers of all time is back with a new song. I was in grade school days when she was at her renowned era. Oh, how I missed her songs and the way she makes melodious sounds. Here goes... Let's give it up for Alanis Morisette with her new song, Guardian. :)

What do you think on the content of the song? Is it of substance?
